With an NDA government now imminent at the Centre, the first 100 days will inadvertently be crucial for Narendra Modi to quell the fears that he will pursue Hindutva agenda and reinforce his commitment to building a sustainable economy.

Modi will also need to focus on building strong relations between the centre and states through bodies such as the National Development Council. This is essential for ensuring that the centre and states are on the same page.
With the above foundations in place, the NDA must next come up with clear polices for industry, environment, security and foreign relations which can guide all future government activities. Here,
I expect to see Modi bringing with him to the centre some successful policies from Gujarat such as its Land Acquisition policy. Lastly, the government must revive and launch national level infrastructure projects such as the Golden Quadrilateral and redesign popular schemes such as the MNREGA to ensure creation of long term community assets.
