Powai
Powai ,a northeastern suburb of Mumbai has grown exponentially in recent years to become one of Mumbai's most upmarket business and residential hubs. An important reason for this rapid growth is the Jogeshwari-Vikroli Link Road(JVLR) connecting Powai to Mumbai's western and eastern suburbs. Today Powai is not only the hub for corporates offices such as Crisil, Deloitte, Kellogg's etc but has also become hub for start-ups like Heckyl Technologies and Housing.com.
Vikhroli
Vikhroli, another northeastern suburb of Mumbai is also a developing hub because it is well connected through the Central Railway rail track, the Eastern Express Highway and the Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, commuting to it convenient. The Godrej Business District with more than a million square feet of office space has attracted many companies like Accenture, WNS, TCS, etc. Nearby there is also the 247 Park developed by HCC Real Estate with prominent tenants such as Future Group, Tata Consulting Engineers, DHL etc.
BKC-Kalina
The Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) has developed rapidly as a business hub for corporate and banks. Many leading banks such as ICICI Bank, Standard Chartered, Citigroup,Bank of India, Bank of India, NSE (National Stock Exchange), SEBI, NABARD, IL&FS, MMRDA, and UTI are located in BKC.
Many other offices too have shifted base to this area from south Mumbai. Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) the world's largest diamond bourse is also located in BKC.
Kalina an adjoining area of BKC has also embraced growth with corporate houses like JP Morgan,Kotak, JWS, Edelweiss, L&T etc setting up offices there.
Western Suburbs ( Andheri,Jogeshwari,Goregaon & Malad)
The western suburbs of Mumbai, such the Andheri-Jogeshwari area are turning out to be secondary business districts. Corporate houses like HUL, Glenmark, Viacom 18,Kotak, Oracle Financial Services Software Limited,Cigna,etc are prominent here.
Ad agency Ogilvy and Mather (O&M) moved to Goregaon from Lower Parel in South-Central Mumbai.
Malad Mindspace was originally a garbage dumping ground, which was converted by the K. Raheja group into a hub for BPO and KPOs. E.g. FirstSource, JP Morgan,etc.
Worli
Worli, is one of the busiest commercial hubs in central Mumbai. Ceejay house in Worli is one the most expensive commercial locations in the city. Barclays Bank, Credit Suisse and Lehman Brother are a few other prominent tenants of this 15 storey building. Aditya Birla Group,Mahindra group,RPG Group,Siemens and Axis Bank have there Head offices in Worli as well.
Lower Parel and Elphinstone Road.
This former hub of textile mills in central Mumbai is now one of swanky commercial and residential complexes. Today the Indiabulls Finance Centre and One Indiabulls Centre stand where Jupiter Mills and Elphinstone Mills once did. Both these towers have corporate houses like Aditya Birla Group, Reliance Capital, Tata Motors, Starbucks, Deloitte located there and media houses as well. Peninsula Corporate Park which was among the first few to change the face of this area has the head offices of Vodafone India and Piramal health care. These areas also have head offices of HDFC and AMBIT.
