If you feel tax rates are very high in India, you will be surprised how much more money people in some of the European countries have to pay as tax. Rates are so high in some of these countries that sometimes half the person's salary goes in paying taxes. Here are nine countries where people pay lot more taxes than Indians:
1. Aruba
Aruba is a small island present in the coastal area of Venezuela near the South Caribbean Sea. Aruba is on the top of the list. Here the highest rate of income tax is 59%.
2. Sweden
Sweden, one of the largest countries of Europe, has made tremendous progress in the last few decades, but here too the highest rate of income tax is 59%.
3. Denmark
Denmark is the country with the highest per capita income. Here the rate of income tax is around 52 percent.
4. Netherland
The Netherlands is considered one of the world's happiest countries, but here too the tax rates are very high. The income tax rate is the same as Denmark at 52 percent.
5. Austria
Vienna, Austria's capital, is a popular place among tourists. Here the income tax rate is as high as 50 percent
6. Belgium
In this European country, the rate of income tax is 50 percent.
7. Japan
Japan is the most developed country in Asia. Here the highest rate of income tax is 55.59 percent and minimum is 15 percent.
8. United Kingdom
The United Kingdom has the highest income tax rate of 45 percent.
