When asked if it's time to downsize Bharat Sarkar or take a different approach, Singh emphasised the importance of recognizing the significant developments in governance over the last decade. He highlighted the fundamental evolution of government structures, noting the unprecedented alignment between fiscal and monetary policies and the shift away from Fabian socialism. Singh pointed out that technology has played a crucial role in transforming governance, particularly in areas like the public distribution system and subsidy administration. Despite these advances, he acknowledged that further reforms are needed, emphasizing the need for continuous change to address the challenges ahead as India strives to become a developed economy by 2047.
