The Delhi High court has dismissed a plea by an airlines industry body challenging the grant of a flying permit to AirAsia India.
The Federation of Indian Airlines had challenged the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's (DGCA) decision this week to issue an operating permit to the airline.
AirAsia India is a joint venture with Tata Group, investment firm Telestra Tradeplace and AirAsia Bhd's as partners.
The airline has not yet given a date for its launch, but said on Thursday it would announce its domestic routes in the coming weeks.
