SpiceJet has upped its ante in the recent fare war by launching on Thursday a new sale that offers one-way fares on international routes for as low as Rs 2,699.
Under the all-inclusive 'Let's Go Abroad' sale, the budget airline is allowing for bookings to be made from March 19-22, for a travel period between March 19 and June 30.
"The sale is valid only for travel on direct flights to international destinations on SpiceJet's network", said the airline's website.
This is the sixth low-fare scheme this year from SpiceJet. The first offer was unveiled on January 28.
Not ones to be left behind, other domestic carriers also announced counter offers to attract customers in the January-March and July-September quarters, traditionally considered a low-travel demand period.
While IndiGo recently launched a scheme offering all-inclusive fares as low Rs 1,499 on advance bookings, Jet Airways is offering tickets for Rs 1,933 for travel within India in economy class.
