
Adani Power bagged the Jitpur mine in Jharkhand while Usha Martin won Brinda and Sisai mines in the same state in the second phase of the coal block auction on Wednesday.
Usha Martin is the highest bidder at Rs 1,804 for Brinda and Sasai coal block, coal secretary Anil Swarup tweeted. The mines have total extractable reserves of 25.40 million tonnes. The mines were offered for the non-power sector.
Usha Martin outbid Balco, Sesa Sterlite and Easternrange Coal Mining to bag the mines. The two coal blocks were earlier alloted to Abhijeet Infrastructure.
