Tech Mahindra opens Oracle centre in Kolkata

Tech Mahindra and Mahindra Satyam have launched Oracle Communications Solution Engineering Centre in Kolkata for catering to the demands of the telecommunications industry.

Tech Mahindra's new centre is designed to deliver integrated solutions to telcos and telecom equipment manufacturers through Oracle suite of products.  

Tech Mahindra in a statement said that engineers in the Oracle Engineering Centre will develop newer versions of "Oracle Wimax xPress", a solution jointly developed by Mahindra Satyam and Tech Mahindra.

"Mahindra Satyam is partnering with telecom operators to offer Oracle solutions to enterprise customers of telecom operators. This would entail monetizing the data centre and other assets of an operators to generate additional revenue and help them sell beyond standard voice and data services," said Debjit Chakraborty, Assistant Vice President and Head - Oracle Communications Practice, Tech Mahindra.
