Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has reported a 8 per cent drop in net profit in 2012-13. The state-run company had a net profit of Rs 6,485 crore in the financial year, against Rs 7,040 crore in 2011-12.
The
company's order inflow rose to Rs 31,528 crore in the year ended March 31, 2013, from Rs 22,096 crore in the previous financial year - translating into a jump of 42 per cent.
BHEL's turnover increased to Rs 50,015 crore during 2012-13 from Rs 49,510 crore in the previous financial year.
Shares of BHEL were trading at Rs 182.75 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange, up 2.84 per cent from the previous close.
