SAIL to increase capacity to 60 million tonnes by 2020: C S Verma
State-run SAIL wants to increase its capacity to 60 million tonnes per annum from the present 14 mtpa. Chairman C S Verma spoke to BT's Vivan Mehra about his vision 2020.

SAIL (formerly Steel Authority of India Ltd) has a steel making capacity of about 14 million tonnes per annum (mtpa). By 2013, the company wants to increase its capacity to 24 mtpa and by 2020, to 60 mtpa.
