Bharti Airtel's
net profit declined for the 11th quarter in a row,
dropping 29.7 per cent to Rs 721.2 crore in July-September this year over the same period last year.
It had posted a net profit of Rs 1,027 crore in the same period last financial year, Bharti Airtel said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The total revenues were, however, up by 17.14 per cent to Rs 20,283 crore in the quarter, against Rs 17,276.4 crore in the year-ago period.
Bharti Airtel's total subscriber base across services stood at 262.6 million globally at the end of September 2012.
Shares of the company were trading 0.88 per cent down at Rs 271.10 in morning trade on Wednesday.
