Telecom major Idea Cellular said its consolidated net profit stood at Rs 243.05 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010.
The company had a net profit of Rs 170.11 crore in the October-December quarter last year, Idea Cellular said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
"Figures for the current period are not comparable with that of the corresponding period due to the merger of Spice Communications, effective March 1, 2010, prior to which it was a joint venture," Idea Cellular said.
Its total income stood at Rs 3955.61 crore for the reported quarter as against Rs 3149.47 crore for the same quarter last year.
