Inside India's factories: How shoes and slippers are made

Remember the blue and white hawai chappal? Some of you may still own a pair, while the rest of you may have moved on to more colorful options.
 
Back in the days, Bata and Relaxo were the two major companies that sold the durable slippers for the working class. Bata is a Swiss company, but Relaxo is an Indian brand that has been around for a few decades.
 
It is one of the biggest manufacturers of footwear in India and currently produces more than 600,000 pairs a day, across its eight factories.
