The CBI on Tuesday detained Ranjan Dash, co-founder of Artha Tatwa (AT) Group and founder-member of Swastik India Multi-State Cooperative Agency, for interrogation in a chit fund probe.
Dash was picked up from the Badagada Brit Colony area of the city.
He had quit the AT group and formed Swastik India Multi-State Cooperative Agency, CBI's special investigating team DIG S Bagchi said.
Swastik India Multi-State Cooperative Agency is among 44 chit fund companies being probed by the CBI.
Bagchi told reporters in the Odisha capital that the investigation agency had scored some 'success' in the probe into the 44 companies.
"We have got some success," Bagchi said.
