
Godrej Industries on Saturday posted a 45.91 per cent growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 77.70 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2014-15.
It had reported net profit of Rs 53.25 crore in the April-June period of the 2013-14 fiscal, Godrej Industries said in a BSE filing.
Net sales of the company stood at Rs 2,290.88 crore in Q1, 2014-15, up 23.67 per cent as compared to Rs 1,852.4 crore in the same period last fiscal.
"Despite delayed monsoon, our Agri businesses registered sustained momentum in revenues and marked improvement in profitability... With improved market sentiments and a strong foundation in place the company is well positioned to deliver," Godrej Industries Chairman A B Godrej said in a statement.
Overall expenses during the quarter were at Rs 2,223.14 crore, as against Rs 1,814.72 crore a year-ago.
