
The country's largest two-wheeler makerHero MotoCorp on Tuesday reported 19.39 per cent jump in its net profit for thequarter ended September 30 at Rs 603.62 crore due to highest-ever vehicle salesin the period.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 505.60 crore inthe corresponding period last year, Hero MotoCorp said in a filing to the BSE.
During the quarter, the company reported its highest evertotal income at Rs 5,909.07 crore, up 27.62 per cent from Rs 4,630.30 crore inthe year-ago period, it added.
The firm, earlier known as Hero Honda, also saw its highestever quarterly vehicle sales at 15,44,315 units compared to 12,85,944 units inthe same period last year, up 20.09 per cent.
The shares of the company today fell by 0.41 per cent toclose at Rs 1,984.85 apiece on the BSE.
