Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) on Tuesday said its net profit rose 20.63 per cent to Rs 686.61 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012.
It had posted a net profit of Rs 569.18 crore in the same period of 2010-11,
HUL said in a filing to the BSE.
Net sales of
the company stood at Rs 5,660.48 crore in the fourth quarter of FY12, as against Rs 4,893.67 crore in the same period of FY11.
For the entire 2011-12 fiscal, HUL posted consolidated net profit of Rs 2,800.14 crore, as against Rs 2,306.63 crore in 2010-11.
The company's net sales for the fiscal were Rs 22,987.73 crore, up from Rs 19,647.69 crore in 2010-11.
The company's board, which met on Tuesday, recommended a dividend of Rs 4 per share of Re 1 each. Together with interim dividend of Rs 3.50 per share, the total dividend for the financial year ending March 31, 2012 amounts to Rs 7.50 per share.
