Ride hailing company Uber has launched a new mobile site for select cities in India to attract customers who don't use a smartphone.
Riders from Nagpur, Kochi, Guwahati, and Jodhpur will now be able to call a cab without having the Uber app on their phones.
"We're now making requesting an Uber even easier. You can now request an Uber straight from your phone - whether you have the Uber app or not. Request an uberGO in your city and pay by cash!" the company said in a blog.
If you live in these cities, you just need to do is visit dial.uber.com using your browser, log in or sign up for Uber with your phone number.
Riders can view pricing information, get a fare estimate, and request a cab. After requesting, you'll get a call from your driver to coordinate pickup. Once the trip is completed, you can pay your driver in cash.
Uber, which is competing with its local rival Ola, plans to increase its market base by offering its service to people who don't have the option to download Uber app on their smartphone.
