Realty portal Housing.com is looking fire 600 employees across its business verticals in the next few months as it works toward restructuring its businesses, a report in Economic Times has said.
The report said that the start up is going to now focus on its core technology, product and tighten cash burn.
One of the sources quoted in the report said that people at the organisation are being laid off because Housing.com is shutting some businesses, some due to underperformance and others due to overstaffing.
The company will be shutting three verticals, viz. commercial, land and short stays.
The restructuring comes after the company's co-founder and former CEO Rahul Yadav was in news for a much heated drama-episode with the board that ultimately led to his ouster.
