
The Tata Group will support the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad, by constructing a new academic block.
The block will be constructed in the name of late FC Kohli, founder chairman of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
This was conveyed by Cyrus Mistry, chairman, Tata Sons, to Telangana's Information Technology Minister K. Tarakarama Rao.
The IT minister along with Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan called on Mistry in Mumbai on Wednesday.
The potential of taking up various new projects in the state was discussed.
The chairman mentioned that Telangana holds a special place in his heart, and the Tata Group is positively inclined to take up future projects in the state, said a statement from the state government in Hyderabad.
The IT Minister explained about the government's new initiative of T Hub and invited Tata Capital to participate in the T Hub Innovation Fund.
The industries minister invited Mistry to the launch of TS-iPASS, the new industrial policy of the state, in Hyderabad on June 12.
