
The amount may appear small, but for SHEROES.in, - a jobs and career community for women - the Rs 5 crore it raised in an angel round will help it push its women-centric career platform further. The funding came from Raghav Bahl & Ritu Kapur-led Quintillion Media, 500 Startups and a group of individuals including Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Rajan Anandan, Binny Bansal, Mekin Maheshwari, Girish Mathrubhootham, Indus Khaitan and Krishna Mehra.
In a release issued to the media, SHEROES.in Founder Sairee Chahal said: "It was important to bring in the right kind of investors, as we build a high impact, high growth organization. Our investors truly believe in the purpose and vision of SHEROES.in and we are delighted to have them support us. The raise will help SHEROES.in improve the quality of its product and scale its community."
Ritu Kapur, Co-Founder of Quintillion Media, said: "Sairee and her team have created a unique opportunity for Indian women, empowering them with access to careers, while allowing them to work from where they're most productive. As a result of the investment, Kapur will join the board of SHEROES.in's parent company - Applied Life Pvt Ltd.
