The Indian Rupee rose 13 paise to Rs 45.05 per US dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange on Friday, supported by higher opening in the
domestic stock market and dollar's weakness against other Asian currencies overseas.
Forex dealers said a higher opening in the stock market and dollar losses against other Asian currencies kept the rupee sentiment firm.
The Indian currency had lost 7 paise to close at Rs 45.18/19 per dollar in the previous session.
Meanwhile, the Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex opened 109.74 points, or 0.60 per cent, higher at 18,259.61 level on Friday.
