The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct CUET (Common University Entrance Test) for PG from 1 to 10 June 2023, UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar announced on Wednesday. The application process will start in mid-March 2023. "Great opportunity for students to try for admission to multiple universities in post-graduate programmes using the CUET-PG score," he wrote on Twitter.
Candidates seeking admission into central universities can take the test. In 2022, 42 universities - 36 central and 6 state - participated in the test.
In April this year, the Ministry of Education said that in pursuance of the National Education Policy, 2020, it had been decided to conduct a common entrance test for admission in central universities from the academic year 2022-23. The move is aimed at reducing the burden on students from taking multiple tests for the admission.
