Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra-directed biopic, continues to set the box office registers ringing even as Haryana became the fifth state to make the movie tax free.

The movie, starring Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor, is inspired from the life of former athlete and Olympian Milkha Singh. It has collected over Rs 90 crore in the near three weeks of its release.

After Maharashtra, Delhi, Goa and Madhya Pradesh, the makers of the movie got approval from Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to make it tax free in the state.

"There was a sole reason behind getting the film tax free ... I want this film to reach every nook and corner of the country. This film is a family watch and is made to inspire the youth," Mehra said in a statement.

"I do not want people to wait for it come onto cable television and then be able to view it, but instead fit into the monthly budget of ever household so that they can get the complete experience of the legend's life journey, hardships and achievements in the theatre," the director added.

'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', released on July 12, has been lauded by critics and audiences alike, and is running successfully at the box office.

According to Boxofficeindia.com analysts, it wouldn't be long before the movie crosses the Rs 100-crore mark at the box office and beat 'Bol Bachchan' and 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.

'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' may even challenge the Rs 106 crore net figures of Ranbir Kapoor-starrer 'Barfi' and Shah Rukh Khan's 'Don 2'.
