"Iron Man 3" grossed over Rs 20 crore at the domestic
box office during its first weekend, the second
Hollywood film to cross this level in the domestic market.
"Iron Man 3" earned around Rs 21 crore in its first weekend, trailing behind "The Amazing Spiderman", which raked in around Rs 25 crore in its first weekend.
"Iron Man 3" in the third installment of the multi-million-dollar franchise featuring Robert Downey Jr who reprises his role of superhero industrialist Tony Stark from the first two films.
"Iron Man 3" made its international debut this weekend ahead of its US release this Friday. The movie, which has made a strong debut in the overseas market, has been dubbed in several regional languages in India. This helped to widen its appeal in India.
"Iron Man 3" also starts Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley. "Iron Man 3" is directed by Shane Black and is based on Marvel's iconic Super Hero Iron Man
