It took a set of wheels to get American talk show host and
stand-up comedian Jay Leno to try his hand at Bollywood. The television celebrity and renowned car aficionado has
added the humble Tata Nano to his enviable automobile collection that boasts of vintage, custom-built as well as super cars.
And the induction came in true Bollywood style, what with Leno posing with his white Nano, his hands joined in a Namaskaar, and quite symbolically, against a backdrop of the Indian flag.

The comedian, who owns an enviable range of cars, inducted his newest set of wheels in a true-blue Bollywood ceremony, complete with dancers in shiny Indian outfits.
Adding that extra touch of desi flavour was a group of Bollywood dancers shaking a leg in shiny lehengas. But what took the cake, of course, was Leno donning a sherwani for the event, thus pulling off a perfect cross between a spoof and homage as only he can. Delhi's popular fashion and lifestyle blog www.fashionscandal.com was the first to report Leno's brush with Bollywood.
"Leno kept the affair absolutely Desi and even had dancers doing the Bollywood jhatkas and matkas as the NANO with Tri-Colour stripes rolled in to his garage. The man bowed down in front of the world's cheapest car with a traditional Namaskar (sic)," read the entry.
The true-blue automobile enthusiast that Leno is - his Big Dog Garage houses nearly 200 cars and 90 motorcycles and also custom makes and restores cars - he explores unique automotive adventures every week, with the world's cheapest car catching his attention this week.
Leno's Twitter and Facebook pages were abuzz with jibes at Leno's attire, centred on the comedian for once sporting something other than his typical denim shirts. As someone posted: "That's the first time Jay's wearing a different outfit, finally put the denim shirt for washing."
