
Aamir Khan-starrer 'PK' touched another milestone on Saturday, when the producers of the film announced that it's box office collections hit Rs 278.52 crore since its release on December 19, overtaking Dhoom 3 record and becoming the biggest grosser in Bollywood.
Expressing happiness at the box office success, film's director Rajkumar Hirani said, "I had never in my wildest dreams thought this film will cross these numbers. It reinforces faith that content is king. We can continue making films we believe in. The messages I get are overwhelming. People are watching the film over and over again. It's humbling".
The film has invited humungous criticism from different sections of people because of its content. Inspite of that, the film's popularity has increased manifold with more and more people praising it.
Even in international markets, PK is doing exceptionally well. It has generated Rs 124 crore at the overseas box office so far.
