A colourful summer
As you pack your mufflers and mittens, don’t dig for last year’s summer garments. This season calls for a new wardrobe.
“They’re feminine, oh-so-pretty, chic and require effortless styling. All you need to do is, accessorise them with a good bag, belt, cuff bands and shoes and you’re ready to go,” says designer Mandira Wirk.
Summer dresses can be worn to lunches, on an evening out with friends, and yes, if the dress is not too adventurous, you can also wear it to corporate dinners. Says Wirk: “All the bright colours— yellow, peridot green or amethyst—are set to make a big comeback this summer. Floral prints, flowing and lightweight fabrics like chiffons, georgettes or even lightweight jerseys are the flavour of the season. Angular hourglass dresses with clinched waists for the evenings and shift dresses for the day are highly recommended.”
