Bugatti Veyron
An output of 1001 bhp belched out from a 16-cylinder engine created by merging two V8s - this is what makes the Rs 16.4 crore Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport the fastest street legal car in the world. However, before the Veyron gets to 407mph, there are some 'pre-flight' checks such as turning on a special key and making the air brakes fall down. The chic body consists of a carbon fibre monocoque suspended from an aluminium frame in the front and a carbon fibre/stainless steel frame in the rear. It is sheltered by a lightweight polycarbonate transparent roof which can be removed and stored in an interior fixture if you wish to breeze through the roads. The equally extravagant interiors are done up in fine quality backstitched nappa leather and are studded with a Puccini music system along with DVD player, superior satellite navigation and fitted with a reversing camera with 2.7 inch monitor in the rear-view mirror. The light stalks around the steering are made from special metal to keep the weight down as well. The tyres too are specially crafted for the Veyron. It's a cynosure to see it move and an even bigger spectacle to see the engine through the transparent cover.
