Aspirations are limitless. Those driving mid-size cars want to buy SUVs and SUV owners look at Bentleys with that dreamy look in their eyes. It’s much the same everywhere. How many times have you changed your mobile phone to buy the “latest” and “smartest” one in the market? Or what about that bespoke suit you ordered last month because your wardrobe didn’t quite have a suit to go with the new Corneliani shirt?

The cover story in BT More's current issue (February 24, 2008) deals with our aspirations that revolve around living a happy life with all the luxuries of this world at our fingertip. Life Deluxe tells you how you can literally live life king-size. Getting this package together was not easy at all. It involved an unbelievable amount of research both in cyberspace as well as in the real world, talking to experts and travelling to several showrooms, boutiques and corporate offices with photographers in tow, to shoot some of the most exclusive and expensive items you can possible own.

That’s why when we decided to write on turntables coming back into fashion (remember the old record player that would play those LPs?), we searched the lanes of Mumbai to find out the best places to buy new and fancy turntables.

And we drove the new Volkswagen Passat on the streets of Delhi so that we could give you a lowdown on this superb set of wheels. In keeping with our focus on a luxurious lifestyle, we spoke to the owner of the well-known Château Pontet-Canet in Bordeaux to find out how to choose the best red wine. We also sent our tech expert to click away on his smart phone for a day. He came back and wrote a piece on how to improve your mobile photography skills.
