Oz Med Lounge Bar

If you’re bored to death of pub hopping and oriental cuisine doesn’t tantalise your taste buds anymore, then OZ the Med Lounge Bar in Gurgaon is just what the doctor ordered.
Backlit sheer fabric panels greet you as you enter the lounge bar, which offers a wide variety of exotic wines and cocktails in addition to flavoured hookahs.
The place truly comes alive at night as the entire lounge bar area is lit up with candles and is segregated from the restaurant by a glass partition.“The crowd here essentially comprises expats and top corporate honchos,” says Daman Sodhi, the owner.

iBAR 2.01

Seven years ago, Bangalore’s night life got a major boost with the opening of iBar, perhaps the city’s first lounge bar. While this version of iBar proved to be a huge draw, attracting A-listers like Nandan Nilekani often, the place was clearly in need of a facelift over the last few years.
iBar 2.01 Where: The Park, 14/7 M.G. Road, Bangalore Contact: 080- 25594666 The price you pay: Rs 3,500 for a couple Open from: 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm |
But now, iBar is all grown up, with the pastels replaced by a profusion of red and seating, too, designed to let people have a fun, yet, relaxed evening out.
Designed by Project Orange from the UK, iBar 2.01’s menu has some unique Indian additions to both the cocktails and food; while Curry Flavours is a heady brew of lime vodka and curry leaves, the chef has localised sushi with the Ambot-Tik fish from Karwar, in coastal Karnataka. Despite these modifications, seating is limited (perhaps by design).
The only flip side: with M.G Road in disarray due to the ongoing metro rail project, getting to the new iBar may prove rather tricky.
