Teeing off in style

Teeing off in style

Golf is a true test of character, the saying goes. So, whether you’re putting on the green, or trying to wedge your way out of a bunker, it pays to be dressed sharply.

Teeing off in style is harder than you think. All those long hours driving up the fairway, and pondering the right iron to use, all the while worrying about the birdie and the bogey, could get you hot under the collar. While the gracefulness of your drive is up to you, we can help with the clothes.

Shirt: Golf is, arguably, more gentlemanly than cricket; so, you’ve got to dress well. While there’s no getting away from the ubiquitous polo on the greens, go for a style that suits you. It’s very important for your shirt to fit well.

Trousers: Elegant and streamlined— your trousers must epitomise this. Go for cottons, a fabric that breathes. Flat fronts are ideal for a nice slim look. Contrast the colour of your trousers with your shirt and shoes. You can’t go wrong.

My style

We asked two of India’s top (and most stylish) golfers what brands they prefer when playing. So, take heed of their choices, and take a look at the pictures. You can’t find a better way of looking dashing on the greens.
