So whether you want to sleep in Everest's shadow, cross the famous Tilman's Pass down to the lush forests of Langtang, or trek through the Tibetan landscape of Dolpa, this trail has it all.

Biking in Cappadocia, Turkey
This spectacular 1000 m high plateau in the heart of Turkey is an otherworldly landscape of soaring rock chimneys, also known as fairy chimneys, cave dwellings and ancient Byzantine churches. One of the best terrains in the world for mountain biking, the trails are well marked and an average jaunt takes anywhere between 5 and 15 days. The region is ringed by volcanoes, the highest of which is Mt Erciyes. You can even climb it and check out the great views of both the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea. Definitely a bike trip of a lifetime.

Kayaking in Greenland
Greenland may be the climate hotspot right now, but at least for the timebeing, those gigantic glacial ice sheets that cover the continent are still standing.
