Adi Godrej, Chairman, Godrej Group
The best advice I ever got was from my mother, who put me on an allowance from which I had to manage everything, from my school fees and books to pocket money and transport. The allowance was neither very parsimonious nor very liberal.
I could not ask for any further money from anyone for anything. It taught me the value of money and the need to plan, and it has stood me in very good stead in my later life, including managing business.
