Overall rank: 40; living experience rank: 10
The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) offers its students facilities such as a well-stocked library of almost 40,000 books and subscriptions to over 280 national and international periodicals. To refresh their minds and not merely sharpen them, the students are encouraged to take part in intra-institute sports tournaments that are organised regularly.
IIFM also participates in the All India Forest Sports Meet, organised by the Ministry of Environment and Forests every year. The institute, which aims at providing training to personnel from the Indian Forest Service, Forest Development Corporation, forest departments, and other forest-related industries, ensures that the facilities it offers to its students are as close to nature as possible.
The facilities are up-to-date with the latest technology to enable ease of research and studies for the students. IIFM is also equipped with the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) facility, scanners, digitisers, among other things. From solar energy to the presence of flora and fauna within the campus, the students are able to get all the help they need to prepare for their courses.
