In a country teeming with young millions, it should not be too difficult to find a group of ambitious men and women who are deciding the future of India. It was not; in fact, when we began to make a list of 20 such people, we ran into an embarrassment of riches.

We looked at entrepreneurs, hot-shot executives, fashion divas, lawyers, professors. After long debates, we finalised the names. Our Top 20, captured brilliantly by BT's photographers, represent the future of Indian business.
