The Modi government's first two years will be remembered for several landmark steps such as Jan Dhan Yojana and Make In India, an initiative to encourage local manufacturing for job creation. It will also be known for passing of several important Bills (Insurance, Bankruptcy, Aadhaar, to name a few). Still, on a lot of parameters used to gauge economic performance, it is yet to make any significant mark. One big exception is, of course, inflation.
