Asia-Pacific region will remain the fastest-growing in the world in 2012

The Asia-Pacific region will remain the fastest-growing in the world in 2012, says the latest report of the UN's Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). Called Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific 2012: Pursuing Shared Prosperity in an Era of Turbulence and High Commodity Prices, it shows how this region has become vitally important to the global economy, leading the rest of the world in several ways.
