An overwhelming majority of respondents has replied in the negative. Not surprising considering the way the government initially sought to push through its draft of the Lokpal Bill, completely ignoring the viewpoint of civil society. Also, its attempts to go after key members of the Anna Hazare's team after the anti-corruption campaign was halted showed that it had accepted the terms of the Jan Lokpal Committee only to end Hazare's fast, but was unlikely to let the Jan Lokpal Bill become law without creating further roadblocks.
