In July, Boeing delivered eight aircraft to Indian carriers-two each to Air India, Air India Express, Jet Airways and SpiceJet and a further four are scheduled for delivery in August. Boeing believes that Indian carriers will order 911 aircraft worth $86 billion (Rs 3,52,600 crore) over the next 20 years. This includes planes from Airbus and Embraer but not small propeller planes such as ATRs that are operated by Alliance Air and Jet Airways. The numbers represent 55 additional aircraft and an increase in value of $13.4 billion (Rs 5,490 crore) from Boeing's 2006 forecast.
