- Linkstreet is also targeting the corporate learning space. "As companies go global, their training needs will be spread across geographies and this will create opportunities for us," says Vikram Ramakrishnan.
- Toppr.com turns a phone into a study aide by helping students prepare for tests through its website and app. Users can access some chapters without paying anything. For the rest, they have to pay Rs 4,000 per year. The company says it has 15,000 paid users.
- What MySmartPrice does is help the user solve two problems - what to buy and where to buy. The focus is not just on providing the best price but also sharing information on best deals.
- In 2012, Edureka moved to virtual classrooms. Subsequently, the best industry practitioners were hired and flexible hours, including weekend classes, were introduced to make it easier for both students and working professionals.
- The game has changed for the generation Y entrepreneur. He now thinks of a global product rather than making one only for India.
- The company is not worried about the wall of cash others have created. The industry, it believes, will diverge and all companies would need to differentiate by niches.
