The animation industry has come alive in India. It is growing at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 30 per cent per annum and promises a lot of action for the country’s leading design specialists. Thanks to India’s technical manpower prowess in 2D and 3D animation, Indian companies in the animation space are getting orders from countries like the US, Europe and Canada.

Says P. Jayakumar, CEO, Toonz Animation: “India has a vast English-speaking workforce. Animation, which requires familiarity with the English language, benefits when the work is outsourced to India. A number of animation companies in the country are also creating skilled manpower for the animation market through various training programmes.”
