Man with a Mission
Your cover story (The Takeover Man , October 2) put in perspective the growth of M&M in the last two decades under Anand Mahindra and the trials and tribulations he faced in implementing his ambitious goals. Mahindra has kept himself abreast of the fast changes taking place in the economy. That is manifest in the new ideas and aspirations that have helped M&M withstand the severe strains in its linear business verticals, and which are impressive signposts for other Indian organisations to gain survival confidence, alter business strategies, and increase organisational contours.

M&M Ideology
Your cover story (The Takeover Man) on Anand Mahindra truly inspires young entrepreneurs. To me, his success is due to the confidence that he gained from his strong workforce. But he is yet to bring out dazzling auto designs that attract the youngsters of today.

Power is Woman!
BT has done a wonderful job in bringing into focus the Most Powerful Women in Indian Business (September 18). Indian women are shining in every walk of life. They have demonstrated that they are capable of managing businesses as efficiently as they manage homes. Why can't we have women as our next finance minister and home minister?
Jacob Sahayam, Thiruvananthapuram
New Market Leaders
BT has done a skilful job of highlighting the companies that are not yet market leaders, but are big and fast-growing in their respective sectors (Tomorrow's Goliaths , October 2). The design of the section was also quite innovative.
