The LG Hom Bot is a silent assassin, going about its work even as you busy yourself with yours. So quiet that if you are not careful you might trip over the bot as it scoots around the home cleaning spots it had missed in an earlier sortie.

But it is highly unlikely that the bot will bump into you, as it has cameras on the top and front that give it a very comprehensive visual data, updated 50 times a second, to let it know where it is in the room and which areas it has not cleaned. In fact, you will notice that the bot will go between chairs without even scraping against them, all thanks to the multiple sensors on the unit. However, it has this tendency of trampling over wires, which seem to be beyond the reach of its sensor. While it cleans both carpets and rough surfaces, we thought that it is more effective with the former. Small specs of dust and particles were no issue for the bot, but it had trouble picking up larger pieces of tissue and paper we threw in its way.

The bot uses its artificial intelligence to find its way back to its charging station after a cleaning session, which could last for up to an hour. There is a handy remote with three modes using which you can schedule the bot to clean the home when you are away. The only real put-off for us that of other competitors in the market.
