HTC One X+: One of the best Android phones you can buy today
HTC has refreshed the specs of its flagship smartphone, the One X, by launching the One X+. Though expensive, it is one of best in the market today.

A follow-up device for a flagship smartphone during the middle of the product cycle is a new trend finding vogue with some companies. HTC and Sony did it in the past by launching the Sensation XE and Xperia SL as the refreshed versions of the original Sensation and the Xperia S, respectively. HTC has done it again by refreshing the specs of its flagship smartphone, the One X, by launching the One X+. But has HTC managed to succeed and threaten its competitor is the question.
The HTC One X+ is the mirror image of the One X. We have a 4.7-inch display on the front that is accompanied by three touch sensitive keys - back, home and multitasking. The only difference here is the red tinge on the three keys that make them more visible. Similarly, the micro SIM slot is at the top near to the camera key. The red tinge on the touch sensitive keys has been added to camera lens as well. The white polycarbonate unibody has got a nice, soft finish that makes the One X+ looks classy. The phone also has the HTC Sense UI on board. Honestly, it is really difficult to spot the difference between the One X and the One X+ in the first go.
Justifying the existence of this follow up device, the HTC One X+ has a 1.7Ghz quad-core processor over the 1.5GHz quad-core processor in the HTC One X. The enhanced processor has a positive effect on the overall performance of the phone. The One X was fast, but the One X + feels even better. It even manages to beat the Samsung Galaxy SIII in the daily usage as well as benchmark tests. Another reason for users to pick up the One X+ is the 64GB internal storage. In addition to the onboard storage, users get access to 25GB space on Dropbox.
The One X+ runs on the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It also replaces 1800 mAh battery with a larger 2100 mAh that manages to last more than a day on an average use.
The One X+ has an 8MP auto-focus still camera that manages to capture crisp and clear images. It was fun using the phone's camera as it managed to capture a shot in less than a second and was ready for the next shot without any lag. We could even hold the camera key continuously for 15 seconds that managed to get over 50 consecutive images. We could control exposure, colour saturation and sharpness. Scene selection on the camera included HDR, panorama and group portrait options. The One X+ can also be used for capturing FullHD 1080p videos.
