  • 3.8 MILLION UNITS: Number of domestic passenger vehicles sold in 2022—the highest ever; the figure was 3.1 million in 2021
  • 933,116 UNITS: Number of commercial vehicles sold in 2022, nearly 38 per cent higher than 2021
  • 15.61 MILLION UNITS: Number of two-wheelers sold in 2022, up 7.43 per cent year-on-year (YoY); three-wheeler sales also grew 58 per cent YoY
  • 18 PER CENT: Rise in the exports of total passenger and commercial vehicles in 2022 at 733,220 units, from 622,206 units in 2021
