When in use, the sitting height between the lowest point of the hammock and the ground should be 18 inches.

The distance between the trees or poles to which the hammock is tied should be approximately 15 feet.

A 30 degree hang angle provides support and creates the right amount of sag.

A properly tied hammock would expand by 5-10% and have an optimum sag angle of 150 degrees.
