Smarter way to browse on search engine Google

A smarter way to browse on Google can save you a lot of time and effort. Here's how you can channelise those searches and get more than what you're looking for.
Some things in life remain a mystery. For everything else there's Google. A smarter way to browse on this search engine can save you a lot of time and effort. Here's how you can channelise those searches and get more than what you're looking for.

WEBSITE DETAILS
The Faviconize google tab adds small icons next to each result, so you can see what website it's from. You can scan the website details before getting in. This helps you avoid mediocre ones and guides you to the most frequented, useful, or popular ones.

ON THE SAME PAGE
The Autopagerize user script allows you to keep scrolling without having to hit the next button and straddle between many pages.

SPAM ALERT
There's a block link that shows up under the google result. So, if you happen to enter a site that's not worth your while, enter the link and keep yourself from wasting any more time on it. This saves much time and effort.

NOT EVERY TIME
If you're looking for something very specific, try a lesser known search engine that suits your requirements better. There's a cruft-free Blekko or a data driven Wolfram Alpha.

CATCH THE KEYWORD
Install Google Quick Scroll. This highlights your search keywords on all the resulting pages, and helps in streamlining your search.

NO FRILLS

Google isn't case sensitive so don't bother capitalising. Also, save yourself the trouble of inserting punctuations everywhere because this too doesn't affect your search results in any way. Also, if 'the' and '&' isn't essential to your query, avoid using them.

DESCRIPTIVE DEAL
You get relevant results only from unique word queries. For instance, 'Pink Floyd ringtones' will give you better results than 'pink floyd songs, or Pink Floyd sounds'. If your first search page doesn't show what you're looking for, then you're missing the unique word.
