SCOTCH: HIGHLAND PARK RESERVE 1902

In the period between 1900 to 1940, the Berry Bros were the most sought after wine merchants, supplying wine to the Royal Family and all the crowned heads of Europe. Owing to their clientele, they had the absolute pick of the barrels and casks.

RYE WHISKY: HANNISVILLE CACHE
Comprises two carboys of magnificent pre-prohibition rye, two carboys of pre-prohibition whiskey and one carboy of superb pre-prohibition gin. Believed to have originated in the casks purchased by John Welsh of Philadelphia, US ambassador to Great Britain in the late 1870s. An intense whiskey with hints of vanilla, high notes of ginger, burnt toast and licorice.

GIN: HANNISVILLE CACHE
The pre-prohibition Old Tom style gin was distilled around 1913. It is believed to have been purchased by John Welsh of Philadelphia, US ambassador to Great Britain in the late 1870's. The ageing has lent it mature notes, but the freshness of a modern gin. There's no pungent attack in the mouth, it glides elegantly across the tongue.

COGNAC: PIERRE CHABANNEAU & CO
Chabanneau's 19th century cognacs were renowned for their fine quality and have been aged in both barrel and glass. The vintage 1850 cognac give a taste of an ungrafted folle blanche on the palate, and has a velvety finish and complex spiced aromas.

WINE: CHATEAU LATOUR

Chateau Latour lies in the Mdoc region to the north-west of Bordeaux, along its border with Saint-Julien, and only a few hundred metres from the banks of the Gironde estuary. In 1378, at the height of the '100 years war' the Anglo-Gascon army established its garrison here. This unique 1865 vintage bottle comes directly from the chteau's own private reserve. It's a fairly deep wine, with a mature rim and eucalyptus aromas.
