Plantronics Backbeat Fit

Price: Rs 6,999

Workout and music go hand in hand. Be it exercising in a gym, walking on a treadmill or jogging in a park, most of us prefer to wear Bluetooth earphones to enjoy our favourite tracks.

The new BackBeat Fit from Plantronics has been designed keeping the same in mind. In terms of the design, the Fit isn't revolutionary different from the earlier BackBeat products. Connecting the earplugs is a flexible band with the rear edge having a reflective design. As Plantronics explains that the reflective edge is a utility feature for those running on the road at night.

Plantronics claims it to be sweat proof, with the p2i coating that prevents it from liquid damage but won't are not meant for underwater sports. The earloops are designed in such a way that they won't come off while running. The earbuds locks themselves in the earlobes.

There are controls added to the earphones with play/pause on one side and call answer on the other. Pairing it is simple, just turn on the Fit and select it on the phone. While one can play or pause by pressing the left control, double tap skips the track. A single press on the right button answers the call and a long press rejects it. While in a call, pressing the left button mutes the call.

The sound quality of this earphone isn't out of the world. The bass was just about average. Same goes for the call clarity. I believe its predecessor offered better sound output. However, the call clarity was decent. A carrying case is accompanied with the earphone. It can comfortably carry the case during the workout.
